LAHORE – Alluding to the federal rulers, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that the country cannot be saved until the Zardari gang is ousted.

Addressing PML-N workers at an Eid Millan Party at Model Town on Tuesday, Shahbaz Sharif said Pakistan, achieved after numerous sacrifices, was facing serious problems like loadshedding, terrorism, price-hike and unemployment.

After 65 years of independence we were still roaming about the world carrying a beggar’s bowl which in fact, was not our destination, the chief minister added. Had Ali Baba Forty Thieves not occupied Islamabad, the loadshedding would not have been our fate, he added. He said energy crisis had played havoc in the country not only rendering lakhs jobless but also making the nation mentally sick.

He said the corrupt rulers had pushed the country into darkness by plundering billions of rupees of the poor nation. He said we have to get rid of Ali Baba Forty Thieves for the bright future of the poor. He said Pakistan could be made a true Islamic welfare state only through hard work by breaking the begging bowl. Member Assembly Hamza Shahbaz Sharif, Pervaiz Malik, Khawaja Imran Nazir, Aajasam Sharif and senior government officers were also present on the occasion.

The chief minister said the PML-N workers who kept the party flag high and rendered sacrifices during dictatorial era were our precious asset and would be due respect and place he would to every bit to resolve their genuine problems on priority basis. He said that the country would be put on the road to progress and development under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif.

“We will build such a Pakistan where justice, law and constitution prevail and everyone gets equal opportunities of progress. Country is facing lawlessness and it is unfortunate that a Muslim is killing another Muslim”, the chief minister said. He said in such circumstances, there was a need of promoting forbearance, tolerance and brotherhood.

Shahbaz Sharif said the country and the nation could be rid of all problems by adopting the golden principles of hard work, honesty and sincerely of the four Caliphs of Islam. He said that Japan and Germany were destroyed during the Second World War but these nations changed the direction of the history through hard work and have once again achieved the dignified status in the comity of the nations.

While on the other hand, the Pakistan of Quaid-e-Azam was disintegrated in 1971 but we did not learn lesson from this tragedy, he regretted. Shahbaz Sharif said that we have to march forward by learning lesson from our past mistakes. He announced that law and order is top priority and he will not rest content till such time the law and order situation is improved.

Shahbaz Sharif said that unjust loadshedding of electricity in Punjab is a vindictive approach of Zardari gang against the people of Punjab.

He said that Karachi is our city of lights where industries work six days, but in Punjab only three or four days which is great injustice with the people of Punjab which will not be tolerated at any cost. Shahbaz Sharif said that he has made it clear to the rulers of Islamabad that the tent office will continue till the end of injustice being committed to Punjab regarding loadshedding. He said that he will continue to raise voice for the rights of the people.

The chief minister said that corruption free culture has been promoted in Punjab that is why our worst opponent could not accuse us of corruption during the last four-and-a-half years.

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has announced to immediately send relief goods for the flood affectees of Nowshera. MNA Hanif Abbasi will take along 20 trucks of relief items to Nowshera.

Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif visited Children Hospital on Eidul Fitr and distributed Eid gifts among the children. The chief minister inquired after the health of children and prayed for their early recovery.
