NANKANA SAHIB -Necessary documents including stamp papers which are required to apply for a subsidised tractor under the Punjab Green Tractor Scheme 2012 are not available in courts.

The Punjab government programme of giving tractors at subsidised rates to the poor farmers seems to be failed due to absence of court fee and stamp papers of Rs20 which is compulsory for applicants.

Only Rs50 stamp paper is available whereas Rs10, 20, 25, 30, 40 and 100  along with court fee of Rs1 and 2 are not present since long in the treasury office.

As routine, mostly Rs20 stamp paper and Rs01 or 02 court fee need to be used but the same are not available in the treasury office. District government could not ensure availability of these papers. The locals have demanded measures to resolve the issue.
