ISLAMBAD - Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of Islamabad Police on Thursday arrested an accused for allegedly killing his daughter and son-in law for honour. Police said accused killed his daughter and son-in-law following their marriage in court against his will. The bone-chilling incident of honour killing took place in Islamabad.
According to details, Sabzi Mandi police found a dead body of a person near a nullah at Sector I-10/2 on July 28, 2012 and registered a case (No.297) under section 302/34 PPC.
During Investigation, the deceased was identified as Muhammad Baqir. After sometime, this case was transferred to CIA police and special team under supervision of DSP CIA Zubair Ahmed Sheikh, including Sub-Inspector Asghar Ali Bhatti started renewed efforts to trace the killers.
This team succeeded to arrest a person Jaffer in connection with this case who confessed to commit this murder along with his three other accomplices Muhammad Ayub son of Ghulam Fareed, Nusrat Ali, residents of Jhang and Nawaz alias doctor.
He revealed during the initial investigation that deceased Baqir son of Zulfiqat married Bushra, daughter of accused Ayub and shifted to Islamabad with her.
Father of girl was annoyed due to this marriage and he killed his son-in-law and dumped his body in a nullah, at Sector I-10/2. He told that he also killed his daughter Bushra in Jhang.
On basis of this information, CIA police team arrested the alleged killers Ayub and Nusrat Ali from Jhang and shifted them to Lahore. Police have also obtained their four-day physical remand from the court and further investigation is underway.
