Islamabad: Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid has said that the government respects the Election Tribunal's decision on NA-122 case, but they do not agree with the verdict.
Talking to media persons in Islamabad today, he said the law and constitution gives them the right to appeal against the decision and they will challenge the decision, in the Supreme Court.
To a question, the Minister termed the Election Tribunal's decision as biased, as the Tribunal did not de-seat the PTI member of the Punjab Assembly falling under NA-122. It only ordered re-polling where PML (N) candidates had won in last general elections, he added.
He said the Tribunal in his decision mentioned some irregularities and mal-practice, but these are on the part of Election Commission.
Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has nothing to do with these administrative irregularities, the minister concluded.
