On the occasion of Eidul Azha, border troops of both Pakistan and India spread a message of love as the troops, along the Line of Control (LoC), exchanged sweets.

According to an Indian defence spokesperson, Pakistan Rangers and India’s Border Security Force exchanged sweets on Wednesday on the occasion of Eidul Azha at Chakan Da Bagh crossing point along the LoC in Poonch.

“The exchange of sweets was a gesture which was appreciated by both the countries. This act is expected to help a lot in the promotion of peace in the region, as this action shows the true spirit of the festival - harmony and compassion,” the spokesperson said.

The exchange of sweets between the border troops is an act that is done on days of national importance for the two countries and on the occasion of major religious festivals.
