MULTAN - The Punjab Wrestling Association has earmarked Rs. 2.8 million for the promotion of this game in the province. This was disclosed by Malik Qamar Abbas Bhola, vice president of the association, while addressing a press conference here on Monday. He said that wrestling competitions would be held at district level across the province. "Wrestlers showing distinction will be given entry into Rustam-e-Punjab Wrestling Contest," he added. He said that the professional wrestlers including those employed by different departments would not be allowed to participate in the contest. "Only young wrestlers will be given entry with a view to promoting budding talent and encourage young wrestlers," he added. He revealed that beach wrestling contest would also be held in Punjab soon. "It's for the first time that we're going to hold beach wrestling in Punjab on pattern of Pakistan Wrestling Federation," he added.
