LAHORE Nearly 100 clubs of the district associations protested against the Pakistan Hockey Federation organised elections throughout the country last year. The representatives of the clubs filed their complaints in writing before the PHF-nominated Chief Election Commissioner Rao Iftikhar. They were of the opinion that the PHF has bypassed the national sports policy and also conducted the elections in an unfair and unethical manner. Former Olympians and coaches Naveed Alam, Rasheed-ul-Hasan and Tahir Zaman led the protest.
