LAKKI MARWAT FR Lakki Marwat political administration imposed curfew in the tribal region of Lakki Marwat on Tuesday. The curfew has been imposed apparently to stop entry of militants into the region from the adjoining tribal areas, sources informed. Officials of the administration made announcements asking the tribesmen to stay indoors, a tribal Malik informed. The curfew has been clamped in the tribal area to stop infiltration of militants from the bordering South Waziristan Agency where a successful operation against terrorists is underway, said Assistant Political Agent Jan Muhammad Dawar. He said the law and order situation was under control in the region but imposition of curfew was inevitable to stop any possible entry of fleeing terrorists. The law enforcement agencies, he said, had information that the fleeing terrorists of the South Waziristan Agency might infiltrate into the tribal belt of frontier region Lakki. Meanwhile, personnel of law enforcement agencies demolished the house of a militant commander Azizullah at Dhoda village of the district.
