In a latest development in the Haj scam probe, the Interpol has issued red warrant for Saudi Arabia-based contractor Ahmed Faiz, who had been appointed as building supervisor by former federal minister for Religious Affairs Hamid Saeed Kazmi, reported a private TV channel on Wednesday. Meanwhile, a two-member FIA team visiting the Kingdom held important meetings with pilgrims besides Pakistans embassy and Saudi officials and also took in custody many documents and proofs. The FIA officials told the channels sources that the former federal minister had appointed Faiz as supervisor to hire buildings for the pilgrims without taking the secretary of Religious Affairs into confidence. It is pertinent to mention that Faiz is wanted by the Saudi police in many cases.
