Death anniversary of Khalil Sharqpuri observed


LAHORE – The death anniversary of Sahibzada Mian Khalil Ahmed Sharqpuri, renowned religious and spiritual personality of the country was observed on Saturday at Aiwan-e-Karkunan-e-Tehreek-e-Pakistan with due reverence.
TheNation Editor-in-Chief and NPT Chairman Majid Nizami presided over the sitting.
Nizami prayed for the departed soul. Nizami said that Mian Khalil Ahmad Sharqpuri used to visit this Aiwan often times.
TheNation Editorin-Chief said that he was a certified Mujahid. “I along with Dr Rafique participated in Pakistan Movement and got a title of Mujahid-i-Pakistan and a sword from Liaqat Ali Khan.
Nizami said that Pakistan was passing through very tough period of history. “We have lost one part of the country and rest of the country was in danger” he held.
Mian Jalil Ahmad Sharqpuri said that Mian Khalil Sharqpuri had great respect for Majid Nizami and loved for mankind. He said that Khalil worked for dissemination of the Holy Prophet’s message.
Mian Walid Ahmad Sharqpuri said that his father followed the footsteps of true spiritual leaders and worked for the dissemination of Two Nation theory and the he had a great love for Pakistan and Sufism.
Justice (r) Munir Ahmad Mughal said that Mian Sharqpuri was true philanthropist and lover of the needy. Maqbool Malik, Moulana Shafi Josh, Allama Ahmad Ali Kasuri, Prof Ahmad Ali and NPT Secretary Shahid Rasheed also spoke on the occasion and highlighted the life long struggle of the late Sufi. They highlighted his love for the country and his stance on Indian held Kashmir. Pir Mian Walid Ahmad Sharaqpur prayed for Mian Khalil Ahmad Sharqpuri on the occasion.
Drive: The students of Government Elementary Middle School Manawan on Saturday visited the Aiwan-i-Karkunan-i-Tehreek-i-Pakistan to attend Aghi programme of Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust (NPT). They also visited the Pakistan Movement Gallery on the occasion.
Also, mobile ideological units led by their coordinators visited four schools and colleges in the city. The institutions include TCF School for Boys Barki Road, National Foundation Public School Phangalli Main Adda, Al-Suffa School System Salamat pura, Government Girls Elementary School Salamat pura, Government Boys Primary School No 2 Thokar Niaz Beg, Government Girls Primary School Thokar Niaz Beg, Government Girls High School Nabi Park and CDG Boys Middle School Data Nagar respectively.
The institution heads presided over the ceremonies in the said institutions. In their lectures, they lauded the NPT’s role in disseminating the Two Nation Theory to the new generation.
LECTURE: Justice (r) Nasira Javed Iqbal delivered the sixth lecture on “Thoughts of Iqbal and the Quaid” on Saturday. She said that Quaid-e-Azam materialized the dream Allama Iqbal saw years back and the biggest Islamic country was established on the world atlas. We should reconstruct the country with positive attitude, she held.
Allam wrote a letter to the Quaid and said that the Muslim majority territories must be liberated, Begum Nasira held. Allam presented a conspect of an independent state in his 1930 address.
 Pakistan Resolution 1940 was its demand in principle. Allama also wrote a letter to the Quaid to return back and lead the movement for liberation.
She also stressed on the equilibrium in the society and said to the women to nurture their children in a good manner.
