Good governance in Pakistan is hard to find. It is amazing that in the scorching summers, we don’t have electricity and in the winters, there is no electricity and no gas at all. Cooking these days is a herculean task and people are forced to buy electric heaters and stoves but with no electricity available either. It seems that we are living in the stone ages and the government of the day is completely at a loss regarding these problems. Before elections all the political parties promised to solve the energy crises within no time, however as in the past, these promises proved to be political gimmicks. With the poor law and order situation, along with no electricity and gas, government’s tall claims of foreign investment in Pakistan is unrealistic and unbelievable to say the least.
