PKF to launch Kabaddi WC complaint with IKF: Rana Sarwar

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Kabaddi Federation (PKF) secretary Rana M Sarwar has confirmed that the federation has decided to approach World Kabaddi Federation (IKF) against biased and unacceptable umpiring in the recently-concluded Kabaddi World Cup final in India.
Talking to The Nation, Sarwar said that Indian team managed to win the world cup final purely due to umpires help, and that too despite using all the dirty tricks in their pocket. We have decided to approach the IKF against the worst and biased umpiring, as the Indian empires did whatever they could to ensure victory for their team.”
“The umpires ended the match before the stipulated time. The Indian players also used greasy balms on their bodies, which is strictly prohibited under the IKF rules,” he added.
Sarwar said the federation would plead the case before the IKF and will request the world body to put a ban on local umpiring in future international events.”
It is pertinent to mention here that in the final, Pakistan started brightly and took 26-21 lead at the end of the first half. “We maintained lead until third quarter as we were leading 31-27. In the fourth quarter, as soon as India got three-point lead, the final hooter rang prematurely.”
When asked about there were some media reports that the Indian authorities had constituted an inquiry committee to review the final match, Sarwar said: “I can’t say anything about the local inquiry committee, as it is of no use, rather I will suggest the matter should be taken up by the IKF.”
