MULTAN - The Multan Trade Carnival (MTC) begun here at Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) on Friday.
The three-day Carnival will continue till December 25 and different companies have set up at least 119 stalls at the venue. Besides the companies like KCCI, MCCI, SMEDA, PSIC, Police etc, a number of entrepreneurs and craftsmen from Balochistan, KPK, Swat, Sindh, and other parts of country also set up handicrafts stalls to put their works on display.
MCCI president Malik Asrar Ahmed Awan along with Tanveer Ahmed Sheikh, former President of FPCCI, Mrs Romana Tanveer Senior Vice President and Khawaja Muhammad Farooq Vice President of MCCI, CEO Ahan Naveed Ahmed, TDAP's Hasnain Ahmed Langah kicked off the event.
Speaking on the occasion, Malik Asrar Ahmed Awan said that this carnival would attract domestic as well foreign buyers. He disclosed that a number of ambassadors were also invited to the carnival and it would prove a game changer for the business people of South Punjab.
He said that it would be an unique exhibition where more than100 octonorm stalls for display of products of Textiles, Agriculture, Energy, Handicrafts, Telecom, Food & Beverages, Leather & Footwear, Electronics and Home appliances, Boutiques and Brands, Beauty and cosmetics, Jewellery and Fashion, Furniture and Homeware, Local and National arts & Crafts, Interior decoration, Health care and Nutrition, Service Sector and others. He said that this event would open the doors to new horizons, markets for SMEs and Entrepreneurs and it will provide golden opportunity to beneficiaries to build their relations with business professional, develop and evaluate potential market in Multan for renowned Brands, face to face dialogues with business prospects and customers, Promotional opportunities for brands, products, services in potential market of South Punjab. He said that Business people of this area should grow their networking and would avail partnership opportunities, they can improve their market understanding, knowledge and strategy. He was optimistic that skilled persons, artists, craftsmen and business men and women would take part in this even from Karachi, Peshawar, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Gilgit, Baltistan and Balochistan. He said that all chambers of South Punjab i.e Rahimyar Khan, Bahawalpur, Khanewal, Sahiwal, Dera Ghazi Khan, Muzaffargarh will also participate in this
Briefing the media men about this carnival, Khurram Javed Butt Secretary General of Multan Chamber said that maximum number of women would be accommodated in this carnival to introduce their expertise. This event is being organised with the collaboration of Entrepreneurs, SMEs PSIC, SMEDA, AAhan, NPO, Traders, Manufacturers, Corporate Sector, Service Sector and Brands.
He pointed out that the participants could explore new avenues and opportunities for enhancing their businesses with the help of Multan Chamber and Government departments. He hoped that thousands of visitors including consuls of different foreign embassies, Chief Executives, Importers and exporters would come down to Multan to see this trade carnival.
