We wish to bring to the notice of the government of Punjab that a number of students from Sindh come to Lahore in connection with the preparation of CSS examination. They come in search of better quality of instruction. A hostel in Babar Block offers boarding and lodging facilities to Sindhi students after taking a fat amount as advance from them. On account of the poor food and facilities, these students now wish to leave this hostel. The problem is that the hostel-owner refuses to pay back the advance amount and on being asked to do so, often misbehaves or threatens the students with dire consequences. We request the Punjab Chief Minister to kindly intervene in the matter. He is giving a bad name to Lahoris. -SAJID ALI SOOMRO, Shahdadkot, via e-mail, February 6.
