JI for talks with Taliban

RAWALPINDI Amir Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Syed Munwar Hassan, Monday, stressed the government to summon a joint session of Parliament to evolve strategy on Pak-Indo composite dialogue and discuss the nature and progress made so far on talks between two neighbouring countries so far. Govt instead of perusing American agenda should stop military action in tribal belt immediately and invite Taliban to dialogue table. He was addressing a Press conference at Al-Ikram Building here on Monday. JI candidate for NA-55 Dr M Kamal, District Amir Raja Abdul Waheed, Secretary General Shamaur Rehman Swati, Media Managers Hafiz Sajjad Qamar, Malik Muhammad Azam and many other office bearers also attended the conference. Syed Munawar Hassan said that the country was passing through crises including inflation, terrorism and unemployment and hold both the parties PML-N and PPP which signed Charter of Democracy (CoD) responsible for all the chaos. He said that the US politicians were dictating Pakistani politicians while drone attacks that played havoc in tribal belt were also harming sovereignty and integrity of the country. Pakistan Army should apologise unconditionally for demolishing the house of JI NWFP Nazim Sahibzada Haroon Rashid, he said. Dr Muhammad Kamal said that the Punjab government blocked Murree Road to disturb the rallies of his opponents. He said that the masses were fed up with anti-poor policies of N-league and decided not to vote for any party. But JI workers are visiting door-to-door to convince the voters to support me in by elections he added. He said that he would beat the opponents with a big margin tomorrow (Wednesday).
