THE PPP Peshawar on Monday rejected the appointment of administrations in the province and announced to take up the issue before President Asif Ali Zardari, reports a private TV channel. Speaking to newsmen in Peshawar, PPP Deputy Secretary-General Zulfiqar Afghani said that his party was being ignored frequently. We were overlooked by the ANP on both occasions, first during the appointments of chairmen of Zakat committees and now about appointments of administrators, he said. This decision would not be accepted, he said, adding that the matter would be raised before the partys Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari. On the other hand, ANP leader and senior minister Bashir Bilour described the objections raised by the PPP leaders as baseless. He told media that the Local Govt Amendment Bill 2010 was tabled in the provincial assembly in the presence of all members.
