TOBA TEK SINGH - DCO Javed Iqbal Bukhari said that all out efforts would be made to control dengue. He said that a campaign has been launched to remove the mostly likely dengue mosquito-breeding sites and its control through cleanliness and better environment management in different areas of the city.

He was addressing a meeting to review anti-dengue campaign here on Wednesday.

He directed officials concerned to take action against such tyre shop owners who failed to adopt precautionary measures to stop the production of larva of dengue mosquito in their stocked old tyres in their shops. He said the teams also surveyed different areas and found dengue mosquitoes and larvae in tyres containing water, abandoned or stored outside shops and at bus terminals.

EDO Health Dr Ashraf Javed, EDO Agriculture Dr Mian Shafiq Muhammad, District Officer Agriculture Shabbir Afzal Warraich, District Officer Social Welfare Muhammad Irfan, DHQ hospital MS Dr Muhammad Hussain and TMA Administrator Haroon Rashid were also present on the occasion.
