CHINIOT – After following a polio case in Jhang, a three-day anti-polio drive has been launched in Chiniot district under the National Polio Eradication Progamme here the other day.
DCO Dr Irshad Ahmad stressed the need to take every possible step to make the anti-polio campaign a success across the district. He was presiding over a meeting to review arrangements for the anti-polio campaign. The DCO warned the monitoring teams who failed to make strict monitoring. The meeting was attended by EDO Education Mahr M Ashraf, EDO Health, DO Health and other relevant staff.
He stressed the administration and the Health Department Officials to make coordinated effort for resolving the problems and make the campagin a success. While briefing the participants, DO Health Dr Munir Ahmad said the Department declared all hospital urban and rural units as vaccination centre.
He informed the participants that total 476 polio vaccination teams had been constituted while 22 teams would he deputed at public places. He said polio team bus stands and other similar pubic places would administrator polio vaccination to 5 years below children traveling with their parents. He said the department would take stern action against those who would not perform their duty efficiency.

Meanwhile, DCO Dr Irshad Ahmad and Health Officer Dr Munir Ahmad Malik inaugurated the anti-polio campaign in District Headquarters Hospital here the other day.
On the occasion, Do Health Dr Munir Ahmad Malik said that over 2 lakh children upto 5 years of age would be administrated drops throughout the district during campaign.
