QUETTA  - A man was killed in Kech while three people were kidnapped from Pishin on Wednesday. According to police, unidentified gunmen killed Abdul Baqi in Mand Sohro area of Kech near Turbat. Levies personnel rushed to the site and moved the body to hospital for autopsy. In another incident, armed men kidnapped three people in Pishin, some 40 KM away from Quetta. Levies sources said Sanaullah, Bahadur Khan and Naib Khan were travelling in a truck when armed men abducted them near Saranan area of Pishin. The sources said that the abductees belonged to Killi Khuda Dadzai Village of Pishin and it could be a case of kidnapping for ransom. They said they have launched a hunt for kidnappers.
Meanwhile, the locals strongly condemned the surge in kidnapping for ransom and demanded the administration step up efforts to curb the menace.
