Judgments must be delivered without fear or favour: LHC

Justice Khawaja Imtiaz Ahmad of Lahore High Court has said that the judges should deliver judgments without fear or favor so that miseries of the people could be curtailed.
Khawaja Imtiaz Ahmad was addressing a concluding ceremony of “Capacity Building Course” designed for judicial magistrates at Punjab Judicial Academy. Officers of LHC and Judges of District Judiciary also attended the ceremony.
“Our country is passing through a crucial stage as price hike, lawlessness and terrorism activities have made the lives of the people miserable”, he observed.
Justice said that judiciary has to play its due role by providing inexpensive and speedy justice at the doorstep of the masses for the eradication of insecurity and uncertainty.
Director General Punjab Judicial Academy, Justice (R) Tanvir Ahmad Khan and representative of trainee Judicial Magistrates, Nasar Mehmood Gondal also spoke on the occasion.
At the end, Judge also distributed certificates among the participants of the ceremony.
