LAHORE - The City received showers on Friday with experts predicting partly cloudy weather and more rains during the next 24 hours. After a sunny day, cloud cover, winds and rains in the evening caused decrease in the mercury level, bringing back chill in weather. The rains, however, added to the woes and miseries of motorists and pedestrians as the rainwater inundated on roadsides. Several incidents of skidding of motorcycles were also reported from various parts of the City. On Friday, maximum and minimum temperature in the City was recorded 20 degree Celsius and 10 C respectively and humidity as 76 per cent. A westerly wave is likely to move eastward during next 24 hours. Local meteorological department has forecast widespread rain-thunderstorm with snowfall over the hills for upper/central Punjab, Khyber PK, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan during the next 24 hours. Met office has forecast scattered rain for north Balochistan and upper/central Sindh.
