Islamabad - The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is going to plant more than 0.3 million ornamental and fruit trees and saplings during the current spring tree plantation campaign.

This was said by Member Environment Capital Development Authority Syed Mustafain Kazmi on the occasion of the 158th birth anniversary of first chief scout of the world, Baden Powell.

A cake cutting ceremony was also held which was attended by a large number of scouts.

Kazmi along with more than 300 scouts planted hundreds of tree on the occasion. Kazmi said that Scout Movement enables the youth especially the children to seek training and empowerment to expand their horizon and learn by doing in an atmosphere of kindness and encouragement, instead of fear and anger.

He said that the world could be made more secure, safe and a better place for the next generation. He said that scout movement helps young people develop physically, intellectually, socially and spiritually.

Scouting is all about building confidence and self-esteem, learning important skills of life and leadership skills, team building, outdoor adventure and education, he added.

On this occasion a Senior Scout Commodore Shafi, Director Training and Programme Zahid Mahboob, Manzoor Hussain Shah and others also spoke on the role and importance of Scouts Movement.
