LAHORE - Pakistan’s star opener Imran Nazir has said that Intikhab Alam had demanded commission from him for allowing him playing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). Talking in a TV programme Nazir said the people of Pakistan must know which people in the board are wronging the national talent.

Nazir Sunday said that Intikhab tried to strike a deal with him. He said the players are forced to lick the boots of Director Domestic just to get a No Objection Certificate from him. He said the powerful people in the board would hurt players’ careers if they say anything against them. “Cricket is destined to such condition if such people continue to hold important positions in PCB”, he said.

Former Test cricketer Sarfraz Nawaz said that players need NOC to go abroad. He said former Pakistan opener Aamir Sohail had said the same about Intikhab. He also demanded fair inquiry of Nazir’s allegations. He said the inquiry commission should also have members of the ICC.

However, Intikhab plainly rejected the allegations and said he will serve a legal notice to Nazir. He said that Imran was conspiring against him and was lying. He said that no single person is responsible for giving someone NOC. “Decision of sending players abroad is taken by the board. I will talk to my lawyer about these allegations by Imran Nazir”, he said.
