The initiative of the government to give a 20-year tax holiday to the businesses in the free trade zone, to eliminate the traditional trade barriers and bureaucratic regulations, of Gwadar port, which will be operational by mid-April, is going to have multiple benefits and will open new avenues for the country such as creation of jobs, transfer of technology and business activities. And according to the agreement 15% of gross revenue from the free trade zone will be paid to the Gwadar Port Authority by the Chinese company which is going to have direct and positive impact on the economy of Pakistan. Presently the agreement is being processed to lease 2,281 acres of land to China Overseas Port Holding Company for the establishment of a free trade zone
