ISLAMABAD  - The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) yesterday issued schedule for by-election on National Assembly seat NA-245 to be held on April 4. The seat fell vacant after the resignation of MNA Muhammad Rehan Hashmi.
According to the schedule issued by the ECP, nomination papers can be filed by candidates from March 7 to 8. The scrutiny of nomination papers will be performed on March 11 and 12.
Appeals against the decision of Returning Officer about rejecting or accepting nomination papers can be filed on March 14, which would be decided on March 16. The candidates can withdraw nomination papers by March 17. The revised list of candidates would be issued the same day (March 17).
