QUETTA: Balochistan High Court (BHC) has admitted for hearing petition filed against decision of Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC), on acquittal of Pervez Musharraf and others from Akbar Bugi murder case.
The court also issued notices to former president Pervez Musharraf and others.
Constitutional petition filed by Nawabzada Jamil Akbar Bugti against ATC decision came up for preliminary hearing before BHC today.
The counsel for petitioner took the plea that decision pertaining to acquittal of the persons named in Nawab Akbar Bugti murder case given by ATC was not in accordance with law. Therefore, the court should set aside this verdict, he prayed.
The court while admitting the petition for hearing issued notices to former president Pervez Musharraf, Aftab Sherpao and Mir Shoaib Nosherwanti.
The court also summoned record from the subordinate court.
The ATC Quetta heard Akbar Bugti murder case for 6 years and acquitted former president Pervez Musharraf, the then interior minister Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao and the then home minister Balochistan Mir Shoaib Nosherwani in this case on January, 18.
