Islamabad - Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations) Sajid Kiani has asked the personnel of Islamabad police and Rangers to ensure protection measures for themselves during duty as such steps are helpful to accomplish their security duties effectively.

He stated this while briefing the officials about effective security measures in the city. The briefing was attended among others by Colonel Syed Sajid Hussain Shah from Pakistan Rangers, all zonal SPs, SHOs, patrolling officers and personnel performing duties at pickets.

SSP Kiani and Colonel Shah gave detailed briefings about effective security measures and hoped for better performance of their personnel. SSP Kiani said that those performing duties at pickets should also take care of themselves and use bulletproof jackets and helmets. He said that senior police officials should personally check positions at pickets and brief personnel as how to handle emergency or risky situation. He asked the patrolling officers to check suspects and keep vigilant eye on them in order to thwart any untoward incident.

He also asked for elaborate security measures at important installations including media houses and educational institutions.

He said that Islamabad police are proud of their martyred personnel and every effort and sacrifice should be made to ensure protection to the lives and property of the citizens.
