Deputy Director PDMA along with two others have been injured in an explosion on Ring Road's Dir Colony in Peshawar today. 

As per police statement, a motorcycle that contained explosive material was completely destroyed after the explosion. The incident occurred near a vehicle that was in use of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Deputy Director Shakeel Ahmed. While the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s excise departments records show that the vehicle belongs to the health department.

The police further said that an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was planted in the motorcycle.

According to the police, “Driver of the vehicle and two passersbys were wounded in the incident.”

An eyewitness said that he had seen a motorcycle near the vehicle prior to the explosion. 

Army, law enforcement agencies and rescue services reached the site of incident and investigations into the incident are being carried away.
