Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will have heart bypass surgery within the next seven to ten days, the local newspaper reported Friday. Singh was discharged from a hospital in the capital New Delhi on Thursday morning following a series of heart tests that the paper said revealed multiple arterial blockages. The newspaper quoted a doctor saying surgery would likely take place after India's Republic Day holiday on January 26, and that the 76-year-old prime minister was not "in any danger". Singh underwent heart bypass surgery in Britain in 1990 and had an angioplasty in 2003.
