PTCL blues

My phone (No 5114543) was disconnected and allotted to someone else about five months ago as I could not pay the bill for Rs 3,000 delivered at my residence three months ago while I was visiting abroad along with family. But what was surprising was that soon after my return I received another bill for over Rs 6,000, though phone was no longer in my use. As if it was not enough, the last week I received a highly derogatory notice from the PTCL's Recovery Department, stating that the department reserves the right to damage your reputation by pasting this notice at your house or sending its recovery staff to arrest you and hand you over to the police if you do not pay the outstanding dues of Rs 10,000. Does the PTCL Management give its minions the right to insult its subscribers?-ASIA JAN, Lahore, January 22.
