ISLAMABAD - Terming March 9 a golden opportunity for the independence of judiciary, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chief Imran Khan here on Thursday said that the people from various strata of society would participate in it to make the move a success. "The incumbent regime has totally failed to form a team of capable persons", he said while addressing the students at Federal Urdu University. Khan said that no nation could make progress without independence of judiciary. He said that deposed Chief Justice, Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry might bring the corruption of President Asif Ali Zardari to light and make him accountable. "The government is afraid of Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and that is why it is using delaying tactics in the restoration of him", he remarked. He said that the incumbent government had raised slogans in favour of the deposed Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry but when they came into power they backed out of their promises. Imran Khan further said that rulers of Pakistan were seeking sacrifices from the masses of Pakistan in the name of economic crisis but 'they have no time to pay heed to the masses of problems instead of visiting abroad along with delegation of 100 persons'. He said that former Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz had spent amount of Rs. 8 billion on his foreign visits while foreign visit of Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani had cost amount of Rs.900 million so far from the public exchequer. Imran Khan said that the government would have to change its policy against its war on terror. He said that the PTI and its subordinate organizations would participate in the long march on March 9th. Imran Khan said that the youth were the future of the nation and they would have to change its destiny. Lambasting former President, Khan said that now Pervez Musharraf was giving lectures abroad, aimed at damaging the image of the country.
