NA bodywill seek explanation

ISLAMABAD (Online) Chairman National Assembly Standing Committee on Interior Abdul Qadir Patel has said the committee had taken notice of the Blackwater confirmation in Pakistan by US Defence Secretary Robert Gates, saying that the matter would be included in the agenda of the committee without any delay. He said this while talking to mediamen outside Parliament House on Friday. He said the standing committee was suspicious about the presence of Blackwater in the country and it seemed during the meeting of the committee as if Interior Minister had no full information about this security agency. He said the committee would seek explanation from the Interior Ministry as who had allowed Blackwater to operate in the country and what were its objectives. The presence of Blackwater is tantamount to trampling the boundaries of the country, he said, adding that if any credible evidence was received by the committee about presence of this security agency in the country, it would recommend to the government to immediately ban it in Pakistan.
