ISLAMABAD - Islamabad police on Tuesday arrested 11 criminals including two women and recovered around three kg charas,one kg heroin, two bottles of wine and weapons, from their possession.

According to an official handout issued here on Wednesday, on the direction of IGP and SSP Capital police initiated action against the unlawful activities and arrested 11 criminals.  

Police station of Tarnol Sub Inspectors Ghulam Shabir, Muhammad Aslam and ASIs MuhammadAshraf arrested six criminals including two women. The accused intensified as Shaims-ul-Qmar Malik Mudsir, Attatullah Khan, Lal Bechia while two women identified as Gul Khuram and Sania.

The police also recovered 1.40 kg heron and 3.450 charas and weapons including pistol including 10 rounds used in criminals’ activities.

Margalla police station inspector Abdul Sattar during search arrested accused Arshi Mashi and recovered 121 gm heroin. Police station Sabzi Mandi inspector Muhammad Shafiq during routine checking from Corolla LE-6307 with revolving lights arrested accused Javed Iqbal,Zawar Hussan, Johar Abbas and Muhammad Rafiq and recovered two bottles of wine.

Police station of Aabpara and Banigala arrested seven suspects and started the investigation, while investigation of the various cases have also been started by the police.

Inspector General Islamabad Police Bani Amin Khan and SSP Yasin Farooq lauded the efficient performance of police personnel andannounced certificates for them. SSP Islamabad directed the SHOs to tightened security and entrance and exist points and keep vigilant and make sure arrest of criminals.
