ISLAMABAD (INP) - Opposition Leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Tuesday claimed that his party held the key to the dissolution of all assemblies simultaneously. Speaking to media representatives outside the Parliament House in Islamabad, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader said his party refused to accept the agreement between the government with Tehrik-e-Minhajul Quran (TMQ) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri. He added that the PML-N feared that attempts were being made to delay the general elections.Nisar said the PML-N was in contact with several political parties over the formation of a caretaker set-up, adding that the talks had been going on for the past two months and about to reach ‘logical conclusion’.The opposition leader, apparently referring to Punjab Governor Makhdoom Ahmed Mehmood, said that new provinces would not be formed as per the 'wishes' of makhdooms rather according to the wished of masses. He said that the Pakistan People's Party and its allies were not interested in formation of new provinces, adding that it was only an election slogan for them. Nisar said that provinces could not be formed by sloganeering but ‘it requires constitutional processes’. "PML-N is in favor of new provinces and it has adopted a unanimous resolution in Punjab Assembly for this purpose. We will move according to the Constitution on this matter.”
