LAHORE - An additional district and sessions judge on Monday directed the Mozang SHO to take action on the application of a local journalist, seeking registration of a case against Lesco officials.Journalist Majid Hussain had filed a writ petition, pleading that the police were reluctant to lodge an FIR on his application. He submitted that Superintending Engineer Nasim and other officials of the Lesco tortured him when he visited the Lesco office for the correction of his electricity bill. The petitioner said he approached the Mozang SHO for the registration of a criminal case, but he took no action on his application.He prayed to the court to direct the police to take action on his application in accordance with law and lodge a case against the accused persons.
