Elaborated security for Miladun Nabi pledged

GUJRANWALA - The district police have been put on high alert to ensure security during Eid Miladun Nabi, said City Police Officer Abdur Razzaq Cheema.
He was chairing a meeting at CPO Office held to review the security arrangements for celebrations of Eid Miladun Nabi here on Monday.
Qari Muhammad Saleem Zahid, Maulana Muhammad Rafiq Mujaddi, Abul Aziz Chishti, Ghulam Qibriya Shah, Police Officials and others attended the meeting.
The CPO averred that the police had finalised security plan for 12 Rabiul Awwal celebrations and police personnel equipped with modern weaponry and gadgets would be deployed to maintain law and order. Volunteers will be deployed to assist police and special cards have been issued to them.
Walk through gates, metal detectors and other arrangements will be made available to meet any contingency besides effective monitoring,” the CPO elaborated. He said that SPs had been given security plan to thwart any terror attempt and monitor suspicious elements.
Abdul Razaq said that Chief Traffic Officer had also been directed to take necessary measures to maintain smooth traffic flow during the celebrations.
On the occasion, Ulama from different schools of thought assured the CPO of complete cooperation for maintaining peace and tranquillity.
