LAHORE - Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Syed Munawar Hasan on Tuesday condemned US President Obama for giving free hand to the CIA to continue drone attacks.

Terming this as blatant US terrorism against Pakistani people, Munawar called upon the government to lodge strong protest with Washington over the drone attacks which violated human rights and the international law, and to pull out of the US war immediately. He said that the US hostility towards the country had never been a secret, yet Obama’s latest statement clearly proved that it was not ready to tolerate Pakistan at all. He said the US had thrust a war on Pakistan but the rulers were continuously deceiving the nation in this respect.

Munawar Hasan also denounced Islamabad’s silence on the Indian Interior Minister’s acceptance of the presence of training camps of Hindu terrorists on Indian soil. He called upon the government to present the Indian Interior Minister’s statement to the UN and the world community and expose its real face.

Shireen should resigned: Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General and chairman Defense of Pakistan Steering Committee Liaqat Baloch on Tuesday demanded immediate removal of ambassador in the US Shireen Rehman for seeking political asylum in the US on account of the proceedings of a blasphemy case against her.

Addressing the DPC Steering Committee meeting on Tuesday, he said that Shireen Rehman had proved that she was loyal to the US and not to the country as she had sought asylum despite holding the high office of Pakistan’s envoy.

The meeting decided to hold a national seminar in Muzaffarabad on February 4th besides Kashmir Solidarity March in Lahore on February 5, in connection with the Kashmir Solidarity Day. The heads of the partiers in the DPC including Maulana Samiul Haq, Syed Munawar Hasan, Hafiz Muhammad Saeed, Hamid Gul, Maulana Ahmed Ludhianvi and others would participate in these events.

Liaqat Baloch further said that the Indian occupation forces had stepped up their atrocities on the Kashmiris. Baloch said that the Kashmiri leadership was being put behind the bars, and their homes and shops were being demolished.

He noted that firing by the Indian forces was continuing at the Line of Control and that they had even beheaded two Pakistani soldiers. He said it was an attack on Pakistan’s independence and revealed New Delhi’s designs. He said that the US also wanted to build India as the regional super power, adding that India was also playing the same game in Bangladesh.

He slated Bangladesh court for pronouncing death sentence against JI Bangladesh leader Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad. He said that Maulana Azad was being punished for his struggle to keep Pakistan united.

He urged the rulers in Islamabad to protest against the BD court decision. He said that the DPC was playing its role over and above politics, and for the defense of the motherland and its nuclear assets.
