NANKANA SAHIB - The Sikh community and students of Baba Guru Nanak Public School took a procession here on Tuesday to welcome Eid Miladun Nabi (SAWW).

The procession started from Railway Road and culminated at Bairy Chowk. They were holding banners and placards inscribed with slogans in the glory of Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAWW). They were also chanting “Jashan-e-Aamad-e-Mustafa Marhaba, Marhaba.” On the other hand, mosques, bazaars and buildings Sikh community including Gurdwara Janamasthan, the birthplace of Baba Guru Nanak founder of Sikh religion have been decorated with buntings and colourful lights.

Meanwhile, former Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbhandhak Committee president Sardar Mastan Singh said that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was as revered and sacred for Sikh community as for the Muslims. “The Sikh community also believes in the oneness of Allah as the Holy Prophet (PBUH) taught the Muslims,” he pointed out.
