Militants targeted school busses in ChotaLohar tehsil of Swabi district on Monday and exploded two of the busses when they were parked on Swabi-JahangiraRoad. No causality was reported as bombing took place during school time, police official said. The school owner and principal,Mazhar Khan, said his institute, the Quaid International Model School, was targeted fourth time.
He said that the ChotaLahor branch enrolled 1,200 children and there were 8 buses to transport students from various parts of the district.
The drivers of the buses were sitting outside the busses at the time of explosion, he said, adding that it was back to back bombing, triggering panic among students and the staff.
The principal said that he was receiving threats from militants: "They usually threatened us of dire consequences and targeting our institutions with explosive."
An FIR has been registered in ChotaLahorCity Police Station against the unidentified militants.
Superintendent of Police Abdul Rashidsaid that no one was arrested and he had alerted the police across the district.
