PESHAWAR - In order to involve the youth in healthy activities, Mohmand Sports Festival has been kicked off at Agency Headquarters Ghallanai Mohmand Agency on Tuesday.
Sports festival carrying events like cricket and volleyball in which 112 registered teams will take part across the agency. A press release issued by Fata Secretariat stated that to provide sporting opportunities to youth of the agency, the political administration has organized a colorful event at Ghalanai Cricket Stadium. Additional political agent Abdul Hameed along with Tehsildar Haleemzai and Agency Sports Officer Saeed Akhtar formally inaugurated the event.
FSSP Agency Development Officer Miftahuddin, representatives of sports organizations and players were also present. The event will feature Cricket and Volleyball matches.  A total of 64 teams from eight Tehsils of the agency will participate in the Cricket while 48 teams will take part in volleyball competitions.
The administration has also distributed sports kits among the players of all participant teams. Speaking on the occasion APA Mr Hameed has said they are committed to provide healthy environment to youth to come up and show their hidden talent. He called upon the young players to show discipline during the event.
