KARACHI - Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf, who had announced special award of Rs 1.5 million at a Faisalabad rally recently held for M Asif for winning the World Amateur Snooker Championship in Sofia Bulgaria, has released the amount and the cheque has been sent to Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Federation (PBSF).
In a press release, the PBSF, announced that  cheque has been received and would be handed over to Asif soon.
 Some other awards that were announced in the wake of the winning of the title are yet to be released. Those awards are: Federal Sports Minister– Rs.10 Million–as per the Sports Policy of Sindh CM – Rs 1million, Punjab CM – Rs 1 million and Sports Minister-KPK Rs 1 million.
