LAHORE – An Assistant Professor of the Punjab University Geography Department has challenged Dr Zakir Naik on his theory about population.

Dr Naik, in a lecture, had said the growth in population was better for progress of any country. In this regard, Dr Naik quoted examples of China and India.

Dr Munawar Sabir of PU, in response of Dr Naik’s theory, said the reason behind the progress of China was strict family planning. “The Chinese government imposed the strict population planning policy of the history which led the country a developed nation,” Dr Munwar is of the view.

He said he was ready for debate with Dr Naik at any forum in this regard.
