MUZAFFARGARH - DCO Abrar Ahmed Mirza and MPA Malik Ahmed Yar Hinjra has called on the Ulema from different schools of thought to play their active role for maintaining brotherhood and stability and unveil those spreading sectarianism in the society.

They were presiding over a meeting of District Peace Committee held here to review the arrangements regarding of Eid Miladun Nabi the other day.

All the ACs, all the SDPOs, DO Agri Jamshad Ahmed Sindo, DO Labour Ghulam Abbas Somoro, DO Social Welfare Chaudhry Muhammad Saleem Akhtar and members of District Peace Committee attended the meeting.

On the occasion, The DCO directed all departments concerned to ensure provision of necessary facilities including maintenance of streetlights, cleaning and repairing works on the routes of 12th Rabiul Awal main processions, locations of gathering and Mahafils of Eid Miladun Nabi (SAWW) in collaboration with town administration. He said that all maintenance work must be complete before 12th Rabiul Awal and fire brigade, rescue staff and city traffic police would be deployed on the routes of main Rabiul Awal procession.

He said that Ulema should raise an effective voice to promote religious harmony among the people.

The DCO made it clear that no thought provoking speeches, writings and wall chalking would be allowed.

In the meeting, the Ulema presented different proposals about security, loadshedding and parking. The DCO assured them that implementation would be made on the positive proposals.

Meanwhile, DPO Zeeshan Asghar Malik said that all the security arrangement was finilised regarding the celebration of Eid Miladun Nabi.

Maulana Ahmed Ali, Gulzar Abbas Naqvi, President Anjuman-e-Tajrain Syed Amir Hassan, Dr Khalid Mehmood Zafar, District Bar Association President and others notable also spoke on the occasion.
