LAHORE – Young Doctors Association Punjab’s strike at OPDs of public sector hospitals entered seventh day on Tuesday, while disturbing patients arriving for checkups.

Protesting doctors managed to establish camps at a few hospitals while majority of the OPDs continued to work normally due to intervention of management and police.

Medical teachers and senior doctors ensured normal working at OPDs of most of the tertiary care hospitals in Lahore. Refusal of the hospital laboratories to carryout tests of patients entertained by young doctors at camps led to unpleasant incidents. Management of hospitals continued preparing list of absent doctors and those forcing others to go on strike.
