PESHAWAR - Laiba Ijaz and Komal will clash in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Junior Girls Squash Championship final to be played today (Saturday) at 3 pm here at PAF Hashim Khan Squash Complex. Former world champion and Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) vice president also witnessed the two semifinals. In the first semifinal, top seed Komal defeated Naima Khalid in a thrilling match. Komal took the first set 11-9 but failed to click in the second losing it 10-12. Komal then struck back and won next two games 11-9, 11-8 to register win. In the other semifinal, Laiba defeated Kainat in a three-set battle. Laiba won the first game 11-4, second with utmost ease by 11-3 while the third with 11-5. Laiba took no time in toppling her rival Kainat in three-set and marched into victory to face Komal in the final.
