OKARA - Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique inaugurated the new building of Model City Railway Station here on Monday.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony, he said that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif resigned immediately after the Supreme Court verdict in Panama case.

He said the decision of awarding death penalty to Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was wrong so was in the Panama case against Nawaz Sharif. He said, "We are 'thankful' to Mr Zardari who finished up the biggest political party of the ZAB. i was critic of ZAB as he (ZAB) was responsible for the murder of my father Khawaja Rafique." He said that a political leader could never be ousted from the politics through managed campaign. ZAB was still 'alive', he said.

Those want minus-Nawaz Sharif formula were against the country and the PML-N, he said. He added that his party's political rivals like Imran Khan and Zardari should move to KPK and Sindh provinces respectively as the general elections were a few months away. He asserted that Zardari must remove the trash of Karachi as the cosmopolitan was turning into filth point. He told the PML-N workers that the abusive and insulting attitude was not the culture of their party. He said that the workers must respond with arguments to the rivals.

He said, "We are rivals in politics not the enemies of one another. We are one nation and never throw curse on the opponents." He said that Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rasheed after announcing resignation from the National Assembly had escaped abroad. He addedathat Sheikh Rasheed would not resign before 31st of January of 2018 as under the law then no by-election would be held after that.

He said that loadshading across the country was almost finished and CNG also available at filling stations. A group of the participants meanwhile started chanting slogans in favour of Khatme Nubuwwat. In response, he started raising slogans "Syedi Murshadi Ya Nabi, Ya Nabi (SAWW)"; and Ghulami-e-Rasool (SAWW) Main Maot Bhi Qabool Hey".

He said the model railway station building was completed in 20 months at a cost of Rs280 million. The total covered area of the building is 45,580 square/feet having a waiting room for 120 passengers at its groundfloor. The building had washrooms, 2 water filter plants, prayer space beside the offices of Railways authorities.

At the ground floor, 5,861 sq/ft and at 1st floor 7,031 sq/ft areas were designed for commercial activities. The building has been completed under the supervision of the National Logistic Cell with the cooperation of NESPAK.

Now, he said, over 100 latest locomotives were with the Pakistan Railways reflecting the public trust in the Railway. Earlier, MNA Chaudhry Riazul Haq presented presidential address, demanded the opening of the city's western side railway level crossing No 146-A closed for the last 20 months as the the public was suffering a lot.

MNA Ashiq Kirmani and MPA Mian Munir also addressed the gathering.

However, the Railways Minister did not even responded to the demands of the local parliamentarian. After inauguration of the new building, the minister arrived at the residence of PML-N leader (late) Mian Zaman and offered Fateha.
