Corona positivity rate increases to 17.96pc in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI - As many as 290 more people were tested positive of deadly coronavirus, raising the tally of confirmed cases to 41,611 in the district, while the positivity rate was recorded at 17.96 per cent during the last 24 hours in the district. 
As per the latest data released by the District Health Authority here on Saturday, among the new cases, 89 belonged to the Rawalpindi Cantonment area, 84 from Potohar Town, 50 from Rawal Town, 23 from Taxila, 10 from Gujjar Khan, eight from Kahuta, seven from Kallar Syedan, six from Murree and one from Kotli Sattian.
“Presently 59 confirmed patients are admitted to five city facilities, counting 19 in the Institute of Urology, 15 in the Benazir Bhutto Hospital, 14 in the Fauji Foundation Hospital, 10 in the Holy Family Hospital and one in Barmwt Hospital,” the report said. 
It is updated that 1,524 were quarantined, including 1475 at homes and 49 in isolation. 
The report further updated that 4,827,287 people, including 44,578 health workers, had jabbed themselves against the lethal coronavirus so far. In addition, the report updated that during the last 24 hours, 1,614 samples were collected, out of which 1,324 were declared negative.
