PHE dept approves replacement of sewerage line project

MULTAN   -  Housing Urban and Public Health Engineering (PHE) department has approved replacement of sewerage line project at Basti Thaheem and Baghwala with funds of Rs186 million to facilitate local people.

This was disclosed by Secretary Housing South Punjab Javed Akhtar Mahmood during his visit of the site here on Saturday.

He said that the project would facilitate residents of Basti Thaheem and Baghwala and the suburban areas of Naag Shah. He said that the project was being demanded by the masses from last few months and the work would be started soon. He said that there would be no compromise on the quality of material and asked officers concerned to ensure completion of the project within the given time otherwise strict action would be taken.

The secretary housing added that work was continued on various projects of the housing department and said that the process of monitoring was being improved.

PBM, SWD directed to hold plan for special people

Deputy Commissioner ordered local chapter of Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM) and Social Welfare Department (SWD) to constitute relief plan for well-being of special persons of society.

While paying visit at office of Society for Special Persons here on Saturday, Amir Karim assured of taking fruitful steps for progress of physical impaired segment of society. He said multiple courses of different categories and disciplines were being offered to educate the impaired persons in domains of lives of their own choice and selection.

Later, the DC distributed prizes and certificates among skillful special people.

Director excise wows maximum facilities for taxpayers

Newly posted Director Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Multan division, Abdullah Khan Jalbani, assumed charge of office here on Saturday.

Upon arrival at the office, excise officers and employees warmly welcomed him and also presented bouquet.

Later, addressing the Excise department officials and staff, Director Excise Abdullah Khan thanked them for warm welcome.

He said that they will work as a team to achieve the department’s goals as we have done before.

He said that maximum facilities would be provided to taxpayers and grievances of the taxpayers also be addressed.  

On this occasion, Deputy Director admin/ETO property wing, Khalid Hussain Qasoori, Mubashir Riaz, Sheikh Muhammad Arif, Abdul Majeed Qureshi, Rao Javed Akhtar, Excise and Taxation Officers Munawar Hussain PA, Niaz Dhilon, Malik Abdul Majeed Nandla and others were also present.
