Media role sought to improve Pakistans image

OUR STAFF REPORTER NOORPUR THAL - PML-N MNA Malik Shakir Bashir Awan said that media was powerful and strong enough to trigger change in the society and affect public opinion over various issues. Now in Pakistan, media is a powerful game changer. It is only because of media that the authorities are taking care of issue, he said. He was talking about the role of media, at his residence here the other day. District Coordination Officer Awan Group Khushab Malik Muhammad Khalid Awan, former PML-N Tehsil President Malik Manzoor Ahmad Baga, Advocate Malik Aziz Hussain Jara and former Nazimr Union Council Padhrar Malik Muhammad Pervaiz Awan were also present on the occasion. He said that media was fulfilling its responsibilities of correcting the governments but it should be kept in view that while criticizing the government, the interests of state were not damaged. Calling the media a fourth pillar of the state, he said media could bring about positive change in the media to project the true image of homeland in the world. On this occasion, President Union of Journalists Raja Noor Ilahi Atif, President Electronic Media Association Ghulam Shabbir, journalists Muhammad Mumtaz Jora and Noor Zaman Saggu also told to MNA about the problems which are being faced by the journalists of Thal. Malik Shakir Bashir Awan assured his fullest cooperation in this regard.
