LAHORE - Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran on Friday visited the theses exhibition of Bachelor of Fine Arts final year students at College of Art & Design, Allama Iqbal (Old) Campus. College Principal Prof Dr Rahat Naveed Masud, College of Information Technology Principal Prof Dr Syed Mansoor Sarwar, college faculty members and a large number of students were present on the occasion. Dr Kamran said the creative, work of students, relating to advertising, put on display was much appreciable. He said the students work was reflection of their creative faculties and it could be compared to the work of national and international level. He appreciated the hard work and commitment of colleges teachers to polish the creative skills of students. College Principal Dr Rahat said the students of graphic design, painting and sculpture had highlighted various aspects of womans life. He thanked the VC and said his visit had encouraged the students. Meanwhile, a meeting of Punjab University Advanced Studies and Research Board was held under the chairmanship of VC on Friday which solved cases of PhD scholars presented for review in the Board by different PU departments, institutes, colleges and schools. In the meeting, 23 PhD synopsis and 4 reports on PhD theses were approved. Extension was given in 5 cases while approval was also granted in 9 miscellaneous cases. Prof Dr Hafiz Mahmood Akhtar, Prof Dr Hafiz Muhammad Iqbal, Prof Dr Qalb-i-Abid, Prof Dr Muhammad Hafeez, Prof Dr Abdul Ghaffar, Prof Dr Muhammad Ehsan Malik, Prof Dr Mahr Muhammad Saeed Akhtar, Prof Dr Liaqat Ali, Chairperson DPCC Prof Dr Shahida Hasnain and Registrar Prof Dr Muhammad Akhtar attended the meeting.
